With Manufacturer's Scan Tool

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory, Checking

- Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS5051 and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics". Connecting VAS 5051 Scan Tool
Engine should be idling.

NOTE: If the engine will not start, crank it for at least 5 seconds with the starter and leave the ignition on.

- Under -1 - select diagnostic function "02 - check DTC memory".

1 - Contents of DTC memory
- 0 Malfunctions recognized
or
- X Malfunctions recognized
2 - Fault
- Fault code
- Fault location
- Fault type

A - If malfunctions were recognized:
- Print out screen content or On Board Diagnostic (OBD) report.
- Exit function "02 - check DTC memory" by pressing <- button.

Display on VAS5051







- Repair DTC(s) as specified in DTC table. Testing and Inspection
- Reselect diagnostic function "02 - Check DTC memory" and erase DTC memory.
- Select diagnostic function "06 - End output" in selection. Ending Output (Function 06)

B - If no malfunction was recognized:
- Select diagnostic function "06 - End output". Ending Output (Function 06)
