Selector Lever, Disassembling and Assembling

Selector lever, disassembling and assembling
^ Remove selector lever.

Disassembling





^ Drive out mounting bolt with drift.
^ Push out slide cover together with Tiptronic spring while lifting pull rod from selector lever.
^ Release spring and remove pull rod and spring from selector lever.

Assembling





^ Place spring -13- on pull rod -A-.
^ Insert pull rod with spring in selector lever.
Installation position:
Round part -arrow- and cutting point in driving direction.
^ Check whether pull rod slides in both guides -C- of selector lever.





^ With lifted pull rod -D-, insert guide -13- with Tiptronic spring into selector lever -A-.
^ Drive in mounting bolt -C- for selector lever with drift illustration N37-0524.
^ To secure -C- apply two new center-punch marks -arrows-, offset by 90° in addition to the two existing ones.
The mounting bolt may not have more than 4 center punch marks.
^ Install selector lever.
