Trim Panel Above Glove Box, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Trim removal wedge 3409







- Hook 3438

Removing
- Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.
- Turn adjustment wheel - 3 - of left air vent above glove compartment fully up.
- Above bottom slat - 2 -, insert two 90 degrees pick tools - 1 - in each of two air vent clips.
- Alternating between left and right side, pull air vent out of opening, taking care to ensure that 90 degrees pick tools remain in position.
- Disconnect connector at air vent.







- Repeat procedure at right air vent above glove box.
- Open coin tray.
- Slide trim for coin tray to left out of fastener - arrow - and remove.







- Open glove box.
- Starting from above glove box, carefully separate trim panel - 1 - with switch module from instrument panel using Trim removal wedge 3409.







- Remove trim panel with switch module in direction of - arrow -.

NOTE: Take particular care when unfastening clip on driver side end of trim panel.

- Disconnect connector.







- To Remove trim panel, remove upper bolts at glove compartment - top arrows -.
- Remove bolts - arrows -.







- Remove trim panel - 1 - above glove box.

Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to following:







- On installing trim panel - 1 - with switch module, make sure both catches are inserted in center of trim panel between instrument panel and monitor housing - arrows -.

Tightening torque:
Trim panel above glove compartment to instrument panel: 2.5 Nm
