Electromechanical Parking Brake (EPB) Component Overview






1 - Parking Brake Button

• Pull: Close button

• Press: Open button

• Component location: In center console

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Parking Brake Button ] Service and Repair.

2 - LED (Light Emitting Diode) Display for Closed Parking Brake

3 - EPB System Malfunction Indicator (Yellow)

4 - Display for Attained Tension and Dynamic Deceleration

5 - Left Rear Electronic Parking Brake with Actuator

• Electromechanical parking brake control module, removing and installing, refer to => [ Electromechanical Parking Brake Control Module ] Service and Repair.

• Electromechanical parking brake actuator, removing and installing, refer to => [ Electromechanical Parking Brake Actuator ] Service and Repair.

6 - EPB Control Module

• Component location: Right rear in side panel below battery.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Electromechanical Parking Brake Control Module ] Service and Repair.

7 - Left Rear Electronic Parking Brake with Actuator

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Brake Caliper Piston ] Rear Brake Caliper Piston.

8 - Acoustic Signal

• Warning when operating while driving.

• Warning when malfunction in system is detected.
