Oil Pump Chain Drive






Oil Pump Chain Drive

Removing

- Remove the toothed belt. Refer to => [ Toothed Belt ] Toothed Belt.

- Remove the front sealing flange. Refer to => [ Front Sealing Flange ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the oil baffle bolts - arrows - and baffle.





- Secure the chain tensioner for the oil pump drive chain using an angled piece of wire - 2 -.





- Remove the oil pump sprocket bolt - 1 - and remove the sprocket from the oil pump.

- Remove the crankshaft oil pump drive sprocket with the chain.

- If necessary, remove the chain tensioner from the oil pump.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Note the installed position of the chain sprockets. The sides with the marks point toward the front.

- Install the front sealing flange. Refer to => [ Front Sealing Flange ] Service and Repair.

- Install the toothed belt (adjust timing). Refer to => [ Toothed Belt ] Toothed Belt.

- Install the torque support. Refer to => [ Torque Bracket and Support Valve Assembly Overview ] Torque Bracket and Support Valve Assembly Overview.
