Kick Down Switch -F8-, Checking

Recommended special tools and equipment
- V.A.G 1526 A
- V.A.G 1594 A

- Pry off covers using a screwdriver.







- Remove bolts (arrows) and remove cover for kick down switch.
- Disconnect electrical harness connector.
- Connect multimeter at kick down switch for resistance measurement.
Specified value: Infinity Ohms (no continuity)

- Move accelerator pedal slowly in direction of Wide Open Throttle (WOT).
Shortly after kickdown point, resistance must drop to 0 Ohms

If indications do not resemble description:
- Replace kick down switch.
- Erase DTC memory of Engine Control Module (ECM), Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data
