Camshaft Adjustment, Function
- The adjustment of intake camshaft is load- and RPM dependent. Exhaust camshafts are not adjusted.
- Oil pressure is switched to camshaft adjusters (mechanical adjustment devices) via the solenoid valves for camshaft adjustment.
- The camshaft adjusters then set intake camshafts of both cylinder banks to the direction "early", meaning that the intake valves open earlier.
