Wiring Harness in Transmission

Removing

- Remove the Mechatronic unit. Refer to => [ Mechatronic Unit ] Removal and Replacement.

- Touch the vehicle ground with a bare hand to discharge the static electricity.


There is a risk of destroying the transmission control module (Mechatronic) with static discharge.

Always discharge static by touching a grounded object, for example, vehicle ground, before touching or removing the Mechatronic unit.

Never touch contacts in 16-pin connector, as the static charge could destroy the control module and thus the Mechatronic unit.

- Remove the wiring harness - A - from the Mechatronic - B -. Disengage the tab - arrow -, on the back of the wiring harness, from the Mechatronic.





If the tab - arrow - on the backside of the wiring harness breaks off, the wiring harness must be replaced. Refer to => [ Wiring Harness in Transmission ] Wiring Harness In Transmission

- Disconnect the connector - C - from the socket - D - on the Mechatronic.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

- Connect the connector - C - into the socket - D - on the Mechatronic.

- Attach the wiring harness - A - to the Mechatronic - B -. At the same time, insert the tab - arrow - on the back of the wiring harness into the Mechatronic unit.

- Install Mechatronic unit. Refer to => [ Mechatronic Unit ] Removal and Replacement.

- Fill the ATF. Refer to => [ ATF, Draining or Filling after Repair ] ATF, Draining or Filling After Repair.
