Right cylinder head cover, removing and installing

Removing





- Detach rear engine cover (arrows).





- Detach air cleaner cover -2-.
- Remove air duct -1 -.

Note: Pull out clips (arrows) using pry lever 80-200.





- Disconnect connector -3- at evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge -N80- item -2-.
- Detach solenoid valve from holder.
- Disconnect connector -4- at mass air flow sensor.
- Turn hose -1- to secondary air pump counter-clockwise and detach.
- Detach air hose -5- at mass air flow sensor.
- Remove bolt (arrow).
- Take out air cleaner housing with mass air flow sensor.





- Detach air hose from throttle valve control module (arrow).

CAUTION: Fuel system is pressurized. Wrap cloth around joint before opening system. Then release pressure by carefully unfastening joint.





- Disconnect fuel supply line -1- and fuel return line -2-.





- Screw out bolts -5- and -6- at right cylinder head.
- Disconnect connectors -1 -to -4-.
- Pull out ignition coils (arrows).

Note: Special tool T10094 can be used for removal.





- Detach crankcase breather hose (arrow).
- Remove bolts for right cylinder head cover in sequence -15- to -1 -.
- Remove cylinder head cover.

Installing

Install in reverse order, note the following:

Note:
^ Replace gaskets for cylinder head cover if damaged.
^ Replace cylinder head cover bolts if gasket is damaged.

- Clean sealing surfaces; they must be free from oil and grease.








- Moisten half-round gaskets (arrows) with a small quantity of oil and insert.
- Screw on cylinder head cover bolts in sequence -1- to -15-.
