Note: Make color mark to indicate direction of timing chain prior to removal. Running a used chain in the opposite direction could destroy it.





1. Chain tensioner
^ For right timing chain
2. 5 Nm plus an additional 90° (1/4) turn
^ Always replace
3. Pivot pin
^ For drive sprocket
4. Washer
5. 42 Nm
6. Camshaft bolt
^ Always replace
^ Pre-tightening torque: 40 Nm
^ Finish-tightening torque: 100 Nm plus an additional 90° (1/4) turn
7. Hall sender rotor ring Set with locator T40047
8. Camshaft adjuster
^ For inlet camshaft
9. Pivot pin, 10 Nm
10. Guide rail
11. Thrust washer
^ For drive sprocket
12. Right timing chain
13. Timing case
^ For camshaft adjuster
14. Gasket
^ Always replace
15. Dowel sleeve
^ 2x
16. Guide rail
^ Can be replaced separately
17. 5 Nm plus an additional 90° (1/4) turn
^ Always replace
18. Chain sprocket
^ For exhaust camshaft
19. Washer
^ Pay attention to installation position
20. Camshaft bolt
^ Replace
^ Pre-tightening torque: 40 Nm
^ Finish-tightening torque: 100 Nm plus an additional 90° (1/4) turn
