Rear Axle ABS Components, AWD, Removing and Installing

ABS system components on rear axle (AWD vehicles), removing and installing





1. Rear brake caliper
2. Wheel hub
3. Collar bolt
^ Vehicle must be standing on the ground when tightening
^ Always replace

4. Brake disc
^ Always replace both sides
^ Remove brake caliper prior to removing
^ Thickness Brakes
^ Allocation Brakes

5. Wheel bolt
^ Vehicle must be standing on the ground when tightening

6. Wheel bearing
7. Wheel bearing housing
8. Speed sensor
^ Left and right identical
^ Grease all around with lubricating paste G 000 650 before installing in wheel bearing housing
^ Push into wheel bearing housing as far as it will go.
^ Release speed sensor connector and disconnect. Unclip speed sensor wiring.

9. Hex socket head bolt
^ Tightening torques: 10 Nm

10. Drive axle with rotor
^ Check that rotor is not damaged or dirty.
^ If rotor is damaged, replace outer CV joint.
^ As replacement part outer CV joint is supplied together with rotor.

11. Ribbed bolt, 75 Nm
^ Always replace
