Tailgate Trim, Removing And Installing

NOTE: The top and bottom sections of tailgate trim can only be removed together. Separate the two sections after removal.







1 - Lower tailgate trim

- Removing
- Remove luggage compartment light - 7 -.
- Remove tailgate lock trim
- Pull lower tailgate trim - 1 - away from tailgate slightly.
- Use screwdriver to release lower tailgate trim - 1 - at clips - 8-(9x).
- Unclip upper tailgate trim - 2 - as well.
- Separate lower and upper tailgate trim

- Installing
- A second technician is required to support the tailgate trim
- Start fastening at clips - 3 -.
- Perform remaining installation operations in reverse order of removal.

2 - Upper tailgate trim
- Removal of upper tailgate trim is described under removal of lower tailgate trim.

7 - Light
8 - Clips (9x)
9 - Fasteners (2x)
10 - Mountings (9x)







Removing luggage compartment light
- Arrow faces to right

- Use screwdriver to pry out light - 1 - at Item - 3 -.
- Disconnect harness connector - 2 -.







Removing tailgate lock trim
- Remove tailgate lock trim - 1 - in direction of arrow.
