Crankshaft, removing and installing

Note:
^ Secure the engine to an engine stand when performing work.
^ If large quantities of metal shavings or abrasions are found when performing engine repairs, it may indicate damage to the crankshaft or connecting rod bearings. To prevent further damage, the following procedures must be performed during or after completion of repair work: the oil galleries must be carefully cleaned and the oil spray jets, oil cooler and oil filter must be replaced.
