^ Radio display always shows LINKING or UPDATING and vehicle is positioned with a clear view of sky.

^ The Satellite Tuner is confirmed to be activated on a Customer Subscription.

If Fault Code 02635 is stored in Satellite Tuner, the tuner is not activated. Proceed with TSB 2012017 - Satellite Radio Activation Information.

Service

Perform following steps to determine if Satellite Tuner, Satellite Antenna, or wiring are at fault:

1. If an external CD Changer is installed, verify that the audio is working to rule out audio signal line interruptions. If there is no audio, do not proceed with this TSB.

2. Verify in ETKA, ElsaWeb TSB 2011760, or the Satellite Tuner Application Matrix in AccessAudi that correct Satellite Tuner is installed.

3. If there is no audio in satellite mode, while station name, title, and song are displayed (even after changing station), the satellite tuner should be replaced.

4. If the display shows LINKING or UPDATING permanently and satellite radio provider confirms that the Satellite Tuner has an activated subscription, proceed as follows:

^ Swap the satellite tuner with a known working tuner to ensure antenna wiring and antenna is functioning.

^ If the problem is resolved; replace the defective satellite tuner.

5. If the Linking/Updating display persists with a known working satellite tuner Check the wiring harness between the satellite tuner and the satellite antenna for damages and proper fit of the connectors. Repair as necessary to resolve the problem.

6. If no damage can be found with the wiring; run an overlay wire between satellite antenna and satellite tuner.

7. If the fault persists; replace the satellite antenna.
