Service
There are 3 different error messages in reference to CD function.
All radios, without CD changers will show integral CD slot(s) locations as "CD" (Concert & Concert II) or "CD1 - CD6" (Symphony & Symphony II).
All radios, with CD changers will show remote CD slots locations as "CDC1 - CDC6" (All).
During normal operation the CD is located towards the rear of the radio.
If a CD is jammed, the CD will be located towards the front of the radio.
Attempt to get the CD back into position as follows:
Concert & Concert II
- Remove radio.
- Disconnect radio from power supply.
- Let radio sit without power for 1 hour.
- Reconnect radio to power supply.
- Press eject button.
Symphony & Symphony II
- Remove radio.
- Disconnect radio from power supply.
- Give the radio a couple of shakes to attempt to move CD back into the normal slot.
Note:
Do not open radio to remove CDs. This will void your warranty claim.
- Listen carefully for any movement.
- Listen for any loose change that may have been inserted into radio.
- Reconnect radio to power supply.
- Listen for trays to position themselves.
^ If no sound is heard, the CD is still jammed. If eject button is pressed at this time, radio may display "SLOT EMPTY".
^ This indicates that the sensor which detects the CDs in their trays has not been able to scan all trays.
^ This is not an indication of presence, or lack thereof CDs.
