Steering Wheel (Multi-function Steering Wheel), Assembly Overview







1 - Torx bolts T30 (2x)
- Tightening torque 7 Nm
2 - Steering wheel
- Removing
- Remove airbag unit (multi-function steering wheel).
- Center steering wheel (wheels in straight-ahead position).
- Remove bolt - 6 -.
- Disconnect connector for coil - 3 -.
- Disconnect multi-function cable connector - 9 -.
- Heated steering wheel: Unplug connector for heated steering wheel - 10 -.
- Remove steering wheel - 2 -.
- Installing
- Installation is in reverse order of removal.
- Ensure that connector and catch engage fully (i.e. audibly).
- Insert supply cable - 7 - in clip - 8 -.
- Attach steering wheel in center position (wheels in straight-ahead position).
- Replace bolt - 4 - and tighten to 50 Nm.
3 - Connector for coil
4 - Connector for airbag unit
5 - Airbag unit
6 - Multi-point socket head bolt
- Tightening torque 50 Nm
7 - Supply cable
8 - Clip
9 - Connector for multi-function steering wheel
10 - Connector for heated steering wheel
11 - Self-cancelling ring with slip ring
