Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

Tiptronic Switch F189, removing and installing, 01J, CVT A/T FWD





To replace Tiptronic switch, the circuit board must be replaced.

Removing
- Remove shift mechanism cover.
- Press down retaining hooks -arrows- and pull cover -2- from guide -1-.





- Remove circuit board with integrated Tiptronic Switch F189.
- Carefully separate two halves of guide plate by prying them apart -arrows-.
- Remove roll cover with magnet for Tiptronic Switch F189.

Installing
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Install shift mechanism cover.
