Side Windows, Adjusting
- Remove rear side trim:
- Removing front door trim:
NOTE: Adjustment procedures are described for rear windows and may be employed for the door windows in like manner.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Adjustment tool for rear window V.A.G 1739
Adjusting lateral tilt
- Using the adjustment tool for rear windows V.A.G 1739 loosen the locknuts -1- of the adjustment collar bolts.
- Adjust the tilt angle by turning the Allen screw -2-.
- Tighten the locknut.
- Tightening torque: 20 Nm
Adjusting longitudinal tilt and closing height
- Remove the hex bolts.
- Move the side window into the convertible top seal groove.
- Tighten the hex bolts.
- Tightening torque: 8 Nm
Checking the adjustment
- With the convertible top closed, check whether the windows when run in the up position slide into the seals at front and rear -arrow-.
