Seat Pan Cover And Padding (standard Seat), Removing And Installing

Removing cover and cushion from seat pan







1 - Cover and padding
- Removing
- Remove seat.
- Attach fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 to engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
- Attach front seat to fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
- Remove storage compartment.
- Remove backrest adjuster.
- Remove seat height adjuster.
- Remove side trim on outboard side.
- Remove side trim on inboard side.
- Remove backrest.
- Disconnect heated seat connector - 3 -.
- Pinch off clips - 2 - (2x).
- Pry out piping at rear - 4 -.
- Pry out surround piping - 5 -.
- Remove cover and padding - 1 -.
- On vehicles with ISOFIX holder and new cover fabric - 1 -, cut slots in fabric cover at location of ISOFIX holder.

1 - Cover
- Removing
- Using a screwdriver pry fastening strips - 3 - out of plastic clips - 2 -.
- Remove cover - 1 -.
- On vehicles with ISOFIX holder and new cover fabric - 1 -, cut slots in fabric cover at location of ISOFIX holder.
- Installing
- Replace damaged plastic clips.
- Pressing in plastic clips of transverse rods.
- Installation is in reverse order of removal.

Cut slots (approx. 60 mm long) on both sides of new fabric cover.
