Rear Axle ABS Components, FWD, Removing and Installing

ABS system components on rear axle (FWD vehicles), removing and installing





1. Rear brake caliper
2. Wheel hub with rotor
^ Checking rotor

3. Collar bolt
^ Vehicle must be standing on the ground when tightening
^ Always replace

4. Brake disc
^ Always replace on both sides of the car
^ Remove brake caliper prior to removing

5. Wheel bolt
^ Vehicle must be standing on the ground when tightening

6. Wheel bearing housing
7. Speed sensor
^ Left and right identical
^ Grease all around with lubricating paste G 000 650 before inserting in wheel bearing housing
^ Push into wheel bearing housing as far as it will go.
^ Release speed sensor connector and disconnect. Unclip speed sensor wiring.

8. Hex socket head bolt
^ Tightening torques: 10 Nm

9. Ribbed bolt, 75 Nm
^ Always replace
