Part II: Subframe, all wheel drive





1 - Subframe
^ Removing and installing
^ Replacing subframe bushings
^ Replacing rear differential bushings

2 - Combi bolt, 55 Nm
3 - Washer
4 - Hex nut
5 - Plastic insert
^ Supplied as part of bushing

6 - Washer
^ Always replace

7 - Combi bolt
^ Always replace
^ Tighten to 110 Nm plus an additional 90° 1/4 turn
^ Thread in body can be repaired using wire thread insert according to DIN 8140 (Helicoil). The thread insert must be of the same length as the thread in the body.

8 - Washer
^ Front only
^ Ribbed side faces body
^ Installed together with hydro-bush 8E0 505 145 AQ only
^ Discontinued as of week 48/00 when new hydro-bushing was introduced in production Parts catalog

9 - Final drive support (front)
10 - Combi bolt, 40 Nm
11 - Guard plate
12 - Combi bolt, 25 Nm
13 - Rear final drive
14 - Rear crossmember
15 - Combi bolt, 40 Nm
16 - Hex nut, 40 Nm
17 - Washer
18 - Combi bolt
