Steering Wheel, Removing And Installing (sport Steering Wheel)

- Torque Wrench V.A.G 1331







- Diagnostic Operating System VAS 5051 A







1. Return spring with slip ring
2. Connector for airbag unit

3. Torx bolts T30 (2x)
- Tightening torque 7 Nm

4. Connector for spiral spring

5. Steering wheel
- Removing:
- Remove airbag unit (sport steering wheel) Airbag unit, removing and installing (sport steering wheel).
- Put steering wheel in center position (wheels straight).
- Remove bolt - 6 -.
- Disconnect connector for spiral spring - 4 -.
- Remove steering wheel - 5 -.

- Installation:
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Make sure connector and securing clip completely engage (audible).
- Attach steering wheel in center position (wheels straight).
- Replace bolt - 6 - and tighten to 50 Nm.

6. Socket-head bolt
- Tightening torque 50 Nm

7. Airbag unit
