Rear Window Regulator, Assembly Overview







1. Side panel
2. Hex nuts
- 8 Nm

3. Side windows
4. Window regulator
- Side window removed before disassembling.
- Remove the rear side trim.
- Run the door window downward by 120 mm from the upper stop position.
- Unscrew nuts -2-.
- Loosen nuts -6- from adjusting bolts -5-.
- Pull the door window upward out of the door.
- Installation is in reverse order of removal.

5. Adjusting bolt (3x)
- Special tool V.A.G 1739 is required for adjustment purposes.
- Using these bolts, the side window tilt angle as well as the lateral position of the window may be adjusted.
- 20 Nm

6. Collar nut
- 20 Nm
