Airbag Adapter VAS 6036, Connecting







- Airbag Adapter VAS 6036







- Diagnostic Operating System VAS 5051 A

CAUTION:
- Technician must be grounded before disconnecting ignition and Ground (GND) wiring; touch door striker or chassis.
- Airbag adapter VAS 6036 must remain connected to seat until seat is installed again.







1. Connector voltage supply, seat side (red)
2. Connector voltage supply, adapter side (red)
3. Connector side airbag, on adapter side (orange)
- Disconnect igniter and Ground (GND) wire.
- Connect connector for airbag - 3 - to airbag adapter connector - 4 -.
4. Connector side airbag, on seat side (orange)

Disconnect connector for side airbag

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Diagnostic Operating System VAS 5051 A







- Press catch - 3 - on airbag connector - 2 - from airbag adapter connector - 1 - and disconnect airbag connector - 2 -.
- Observe safety precautions after connecting battery.

NOTE: If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) K75 signals a malfunction after installation, DTC memory must be checked, erased and once again checked using Diagnostic Operating System VAS 5051 A.
