Fuel Pump Adaptation After Replacing Fuel Delivery Unit, (vehicles With 4- Cyl. TFSI Engine)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Vehicle diagnostic, testing, and information system VAS 5051 (VAS 5051 B version shown as example only)

NOTE: If the fuel pump is replaced, the fuel pump should be adapted to the engine control module on vehicles with 4-cyl. TFSI engine to check the repair.

Work procedure
- Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 connected, On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) and vehicle system "01 Engine electronics" selected.
- No DTCs in DTC memory.
- Engine running at idle.






Display on VAS 5051 :
- In selection - 1 - , click on diagnostic function "04 - Basic Setting".







Display on VAS 5051 :
- Select function "103" in button field - 2 - for "display group 103" and press Q to confirm input.







- Activate basic setting by pressing Activate button - A - .

Display on VAS 5051 :
- Check indication in display field - 4 -.
Scan tool display: "ADP in progress". After fuel pump adaptation is completed, the display shows "ADP OK".

NOTE: If "ADP not OK" is displayed: Check DTC Memory.

- End function "04 - Basic setting" by pressing <- button.
- From selection, click on diagnostic function "06 - End output".
- Turn ignition off and disconnect diagnostic connection.
