Shift lever alignment, checking, 01E, 6 Spd. M/T AWD
^ The shift lever must rest in the 3rd/4th gear gate when the transmission is in neutral.

- Depress clutch.
- Check that all gears can be engaged.
- Check operation of reverse gear lock.
^ It should only be possible to engage the R gear after releasing the block.
^ The gear lever must return automatically from the R gear gate to the 3rd/4th gear gate.
If after repeated selection of a gear it fails to engage smoothly, shift lever alignment must be repeated.
