Spring Mat With Wiring Harness In Seat Pan, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Engine and transmission holder VAS 6095







- Fixture for seat repair VAS 6136







1 - Cable ties (4x)
2 - Spring mat with wiring harness

- Removal
- Remove seat.
- Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
- Remove side trim on sill side.
- Remove side trim on tunnel side.
- Remove belt buckle:
- Belt latch anchorage point.
- Seat Occupied Recognition passenger airbag deactivation belt latch (country-specific), replacing.
- Remove the backrest.
- Remove cover and padding from seat pan.
- Remove cable ties - 1 - (4x).
- Disengage spring mat - 2 - at - A - positions (2x).
- Disengage spring mat - 2 - at - B - positions (4x).
- Tip seat to side.
- Disconnect connectors - 3 - (3x).
- For vehicles with seatbelt fasten sensor: Loosen cable.
- Remove screw - 5 -.
- Remove spring mat with wiring harness - 2 -.

- Installing
Installation is reverse of removal. When doing so, note the following:
- If metal tabs on positions - A - and - B - are damaged: Replace seat pan.

4 - Washer
5 - Screw
