Transmission oil level, checking, 01E, 6 Spd. M/T AWD

Notes:
^ The vehicle should be absolutely horizontal when checking transmission oil level. This work is best performed over an inspection pit or using a 4 -column lifting platform.
^ The prescribed oil level is to be adhered to exactly; the transmission reacts very sensitively to overfilling.





- Remove oil filler plug -B- to check final drive oil level.
- Check oil level using a shop-built tool, e.g. a piece of angled wire.
^ Specification: Oil level 4 mm ± 1 below bottom edge of oil filler hole

- Top up with gear oil, if necessary.
- Install oil filler plug.
