Backup Lamp Switch: Service and Repair

Back-up light switch F4, removing and installing, 01X, 6 Spd. M/T FWD

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque wrench V.A.G 1331:

Removing
- If installed, loosen quick release fasteners - 3 - and remove rear sound insulation - B -.





- Disconnect electrical connector - arrow - for back-up light switch F4 on transmission (right side).





- Remove back-up light switch F4 from selector shaft cover - arrow -.





Installing
- Screw back-up light switch F4 into selector shaft cover - arrow -.





- Attach electrical connector- arrow -for back-up light switch F4 on transmission (right side).

Tightening torque:
