Front Belt Guide

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

torque wrench (V.A.G 1783)









1 Belt Guide

Removing

- Remove the upper B-pillar trim.

Audi A6, refer to => [ Upper B-Pillar Trim ] Upper B-Pillar Trim.

- Remove lower B-pillar trim. Refer to => [ Lower B-Pillar Trim ] Lower B-Pillar Trim.

Vehicles with air duct in B-pillar

- Remove the expanding rivets (quantity: 2).

- Remove air duct.

Procedure for all vehicles

- Remove the bolts - 3 -.

- Disengage spring component - arrow A -.

To do this, carefully push spring component retainer tab toward vehicle interior.

- Push belt guide - 1 - down to stop.

- Disengage locking hooks - arrow B - from keyhole-shaped cut-out.

- Remove belt guide - 1 -.

Installing

Note left and right part marking when assembling.

L = Left part

R = Right part

- Engage locking tabs - arrow B - in keyhole-shaped cut-out.

- Push belt guide - 1 - up to stop.

The tab - arrow A - must fit in the opening - 2 -. This holds belt guide - 1 - in top position.

- Install screws - 3 - and tighten to the specification.

- Ensure belt webbing clearance - 4 -.

Further installation takes in reverse order of removal.
