Center Rear Floor Assembly Anchorage Points

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

torque wrench (V.A.G 1332)

Belt Latches with Left Retainers





1 Left Belt Buckles With Retainer

Removing

- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

- Remove the bolt - 2 -.

- Remove belt buckle with left retainer - 1 -.

Installing

- Insert screw - 2 - through hole in retainer.

- Press seal - 3 - onto screw shaft up to stop.

- Guide screw - 2 - into nut on vehicle floor.

- Press retainer against vehicle floor.

- Align long projection in retainer - A arrows - with round projection in vehicle floor - B arrows -.

- Tighten screw - 2 - to the specification.

- Install the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

2 Bolt

55 Nm

In delivery casing

If belt buckles with left retainers are being removed for accident repairs, screw - 2 - must be replaced.

3 Window

1 Right Belt Buckle with Retainer

Removing

- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

- Remove the bolt - 2 -.

- Thread belt webbing - 3 - out of guide clip - 4 -.

- First disengage belt webbing - 3 - out of short clip - arrow C - and then out of long clip - arrow D -.

- Remove belt buckle with right retainer - 1 -.

Installing

- Carry out preassembly on belt buckle with right retainer - 1 - and belt webbing with anchor - 3 - and - 6 -.

- Guide screw - 2 - into nut on vehicle floor.

- Press retainer - 1 - against vehicle floor.

- Align long projection in retainer - A arrows - with round projections in vehicle floor - B arrows -.

- Tighten screw - 2 - to the specification.

- Install the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

55 Nm

In delivery casing

If belt buckles with right retainers are being removed for accident repairs, screw - 2 - must be replaced.

6 Belt Webbing Anchor

Belt buckle/retainer with belt webbing/anchor pre-assembly





- Lay anchor with belt webbing - 1 - on retainer with belt buckle - 2 -.

- Guide screw - 3 - through holes from belt webbing anchor and belt buckle retainer.

- Press seal - 4 - onto screw shaft to stop.

- Rotate anchor - 1 - clockwise to stop under plastic tab - 2 -.





- Press plastic tab with trim - 2 - down.

- Lay belt webbing - 1 - in guide clip - 2 -.





- Thread belt webbing - 1 - into long clip first - arrow A - and then into short clip - arrow B -.

- Press screw - 3 - against retainer - 4 -.

- Pull on belt webbing - 1 - and tighten seat belt.
