Fuel Level Sensor 4, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• (VAG1526A)





• Engine/transmission hoist (VAG1594A)





Test Sequence

- Remove luggage compartment floor lining.

- Remove cover for right connector flange (- arrows -).





- Carefully release and disconnect electrical harness connector - 2 - on right connector flange.





- Connect multimeter between terminal 2 and 3 on connector - A - for resistance measurement.









- For measured value 0 ohms there is a short circuit, for measured value infinite ohms an open circuit.

• To check resistance values "tank full" or "tank empty", Fuel Supply Sensor 4 (G393) must be removed, refer to Repair Manual and the sensor floater must be placed in upper or lower end position.
