Multimedia Display Unit 1

• Removal and installation of Multimedia Display Unit 1 (Y22) and Multimedia Display Unit (Y23) are identical.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

Removing

The multimedia display unit 1 is latched to the frame inside the headrest.

There are two grooves - 2 - on the left and right sides of the multimedia display unit 1 and there are two tabs - 1 - inside the headrest.





Both tabs must be pressed evenly with a flat tool.

Use a commercially available plastic scraper - 1 -.





a = approximately 70 mm

b = approximately 100 mm

Thickness = 0.5 mm maximum

All corners rounded off

Be careful not to damage the leather or material covering on the headrest. Indentations are not permissible.

- Push the plastic scraper - 1 - between the headrest - 2 - and multimedia display unit 1 - 3 - in - direction of arrow A - until the tabs - arrows B - bend.





By applying gentle pressure on the plastic scraper - 1 -, pry the multimedia display unit 1 - 3 - out of the headrest - 2 -.

- Disconnect the connector - 2 - in the headrest - 1 - and remove the multimedia display unit 1 - 3 -.





Installing

- Connect the connectors - 2 -.





- Install the multimedia display unit 1 - 3 - into the headrest - 1 - until it audibly engages.
