Closing Assist Motor





1 - Hex head collar nut

• 5Nm

2 - Rubber bushing

• Rubber bushing and socket are decoupling elements and must always be installed together.

• Slid sideways into motor.

3 - Socket

• Slid into rubber bushing.

4 - Motor for closing assist

• Door trim removed.

• Removing:

• To remove, unscrew hex union nuts - 1 - from connecting elements - 7 -.

• Pull off motor and disengage cable => [ Disengaging and engaging cable ].

• Installation:

• Before installing, engage release cable in closing assist motor.

• Insert washers - 5 - onto connecting elements - 7 -.

• Place closing assist motor onto connecting elements and tighten hex nuts 5Nm.

5 - Washer

• Must always be installed together.

6 - Cable

• Engage in motor for closing assist => Fig. => [ Disengaging and engaging cable ].

7 - Connecting element

• Preassembly => [ Preassembly of connecting elements ].

• Installation position => [ Installation position of connecting element ].

8 - Assembly carrier

• Removing and installing => [ Assembly Carrier ] Assembly Carrier.

Disengaging and engaging cable





- To remove, unclip cable from motor only at arrow - b -.

- Disengage cable from cable reel and remove motor.

- Installation is the reverse order of removal.

Preassembly of connecting elements





- With a new part, remove aluminum adhesive strips - 2 - from assembly carrier - 1 -.

- For preassembly, insert connecting elements - 3 - into assembly carrier - 1 - and tighten hex nuts - 4 - to 20 Nm.

Installation position of connecting element





- During preassembly, connecting element - 1 - is inserted into assembly carrier - 2 - and screwed with hex nut - 3 -.

- Washer - 4 - must always be installed with it.

- Socket - 5 - with rubber bushing - 6 - is slid sideways into motor - 7 -.

- Motor placed onto connecting element and screwed with nut - 8 -.

- After release cable has been engaged, tighten nut to 5 Nm.

Installing motor for closing assist





- Assembly carrier installed.

- Insert washers - 4 - onto connecting elements - 3 -.

- Insert cable - 2 - into cable reel on motor - 5 - => [ Disengaging and engaging cable ].

- Slide motor - 5 - onto connecting elements - 3 - and tighten hex nuts to 5Nm.
