Contact Corrosion
- Contact corrosion can occur if fasteners (bolts, nuts, washers) are made of metals that are dissimilar to components that are being held together.
- For this reason, only fasteners with a special surface coating are used. These fasteners can be identified by their greenish color.
- In addition, non-metal components and adhesives used are made of dielectric (electrically insulative) materials.
- If you are uncertain about reusability of a fastener, replace it with a new one.

- Use only genuine Audi parts.
- All installed accessories must be approved by Audi AG.
- Damage resulting from contact corrosion is not covered by warranty.
