Affected Vehicles
Condition
^ The window can be opened but not closed with the master window switch on the driver side.
^ The window lifter switch doesn't work.
Technical Background
^ The window lifter switch can jam in the closing position due to too tight of design tolerances between rocker portion of the switch and its mounting points.
^ Dirt on the switch circuit board can cause sporadic contact disruptions.
Production Solution
Optimized switch.
Service
Replace the master window switch on the driver side.
^ Part No. 4E0 959 851 B 5PR for vehicles without power latching (GZ0).
^ Part No. 4E0 959 851 C 5PR for vehicles with power latching (GZ2).
