Air supply unit, assembly overview





1. Air supply unit
2. Spring clamp
3. Muffler
^ Installation location: In left wheel housing

4. Air cleaner
^ Installation location: On the left A-pillar above the solenoid valve block

5. Bracket
6. Washer
7. Bolt, 4 Nm
8. Bolt, 4 Nm
9. Connection piece, 2 Nm
See Note the instruction, Fig. 1
^ Only unscrew with the vehicle raised and the air spring damper de-pressurized (otherwise there is a risk of injury due to lowering of the vehicle)
^ Replace air line if leaking
^ Clean the line connection before loosening
^ Air escapes during unscrewing
^ Protect connection from contamination

10. Air line
^ Between solenoid valve block and air supply unit
^ Replace air line if leaking

11. Intake hose connection piece
12. Rubber bushings
13. Spring
14. Sleeve
15. Self-locking nut, 4 Nm
^ Replace each time after removing

16. Connector
^ For level control pump temperature sensor -G290-
^ Level control pump temperature sensor -G290- is installed in the air supply unit. It cannot be exchanged.

17. Connector
^ For drain valve
The drain valve is installed in the air supply unit. It cannot be exchanged.

18. Connector
^ For connection to engine

- The lines are properly attached if only one of the marks -arrow- is visible.

Note:
^ Lines must not be shortened.
^ Detach lines by unfastening the connection piece.
^ Route air lines before removing protective transportation caps (detach immediately prior to making connection).
