Air supply unit, removing and installing

Removing

Note: The air supply unit is installed on the left behind the front bumper.

- Place vehicle on lifting platform.
- Remove wheel trim, detach trim cap for light-alloy wheels (puller in vehicle tool kit).
- Remove left front wheel.
- Secure brake disc with a wheel bolt.
- Remove left front wheel housing liner.
- Remove front noise insulation.





- Unscrew nut -1-.
- Detach connectors -2-.





- Open clamp -1- and detach suction hose -2- from connection piece -3-.
- Unscrew air line from air supply unit -arrow-.
- Unscrew nuts -4- and remove air supply unit.

Note: Shown without bumper for ease of illustration.

Installing
Installation is in reverse order. Note the following:
- The tightening torques of bolts/nuts and information on whether the bolts/nuts must be replaced.
- Install front noise insulation.
- Install the wheel housing liner.
- Install and tighten wheel.
