Update Programming (Flashing) Navigation DVD

When a Navigation DVD update is indicated.

Required Software

^ Navigation DVD

Navigation DVD Update





- With MMI turned On, activate Navigation mode by pressing "NAV" button.

- Press eject to remove current navigation DVD from drive unit, located on left side of trunk.





- Wait until message "Insert Navigation DVD" is displayed on MMI screen.

- Insert new Navigation DVD into drive unit.





- MMI screen will change to new display.

- With "Yes" highlighted, press center control knob to select highlighted entry.





- Software update will proceed automatically.

Note:
Progress percentage displayed does not in crease at a constant rate.

When update is complete:





- MMI screen will prompt you to press "RETURN".

- Press "RETURN" button.

^ MMI system will reboot.

In some cases, after passing disclaimer screen:





- MMI will display message that it is being initialized.

^ After initialization standard Navigation MMI screen will be displayed.





When procedure applies to vehicles within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, use the table.
