Turbocharger And Boost Pressure Regulator Valve, Checking

CAUTION:
If special testing equipment is required during road test, note the following:
- Test equipment must always be secured to the rear seat and operated from there by a second person.
- If test and measuring equipment is operated from the passenger seat, the person seated there could be injured in the event of an accident involving deployment of the passenger-side airbag.

Special tools and equipment
- VAG1397A Turbocharger Tester
- VAG1551 Scan Tool (ST) with VAG1551/3 Adapter

Test requirements:
- Read DTC memory, Diagnostic mode 3: Check DTC memory.

- A blinking comma in display field indicates a value has been saved.

- Boost pressure recirculation valve malfunctioning.
- Vacuum line to recirculation valve leaking or slipped off.
