Transmission Input Speed Sensor-G182-
Transmission input speed sensor -G182-, replacing
Note: A distinction is made between two types of transmissions.
^ Transmission with hydraulic control E17, on which the sensor for transmission RPM (inductive sensor) is secured to the underside of the valve body.
^ Transmission with hydraulic control E1812, on which the sensor for transmission RPM the sensor is secured behind the valve body on transmission housing.
The information on which transmission is installed can be taken from the table.
For transmissions with hydraulic control E17
Removing
^ Remove valve body.
^ Turn valve body on its back and disconnect connector at Transmission Input Speed Sensor - 1 -.
^ Unbolt Transmission Input Speed Sensor -1- at valve body.
Installing
^ Use two spacer sleeves -2- (height: 20 mm) to install Transmission Input Speed Sensor -1- and tighten to 7 Nm.
^ Installation position: Sensor side with connector pins faces valve body center.
^ Connect connector for Transmission Input Speed Sensor -1-
^ Install valve body.
^ Top up ATF.
For transmissions with hydraulic control E1 812
Removing
^ Remove valve body.
^ Unscrew Transmission Input Speed Sensor -A- from transmission.
Installing
^ Bolt Transmission Input Speed Sensor -A- onto transmission with bolt -B-. The tightening torque is 9 Nm.
^ Route wire with connector -C- according to illustration so that the wiring is not pinched during installation of the valve body.
^ Install valve body.
^ Fill up ATF.
