A traction control system (ASR) may be installed as an option on vehicles with front wheel drive.

The ABS brake system is divided diagonally. The brake booster assist is provided pneumatically by the vacuum brake booster unit.





The hydraulic unit and control module form a single unit, which is referred to as the hydraulic control unit.

The direct connection between these components reduces possible sources of malfunctions. There is no provision for repairing the hydraulic control unit - it must be replaced if necessary.

The bolts which connect the individual components of the hydraulic control unit must not be loosened.
