Adaptation (Function 10)

Using the adaptation function, the following changes can be made and saved.
- Changing tire size
- Changes of impulse number per wheel rotation (GALA)
- Deactivating and activating production diagnostic
- Connection of included or external loudspeakers
- Changing country selection
- Dynamic route guidance adaptation

Control module for navigation must be adapted, whether dynamic route guidance must be adapted and via which unit the respective information must be sent: RDS radio with TMC and/or telephone.

The navigation system uses the speed signal from speedometer (GALA) for calculating mileage.

Individual functions are called up by entering the appropriate adaptation channel numbers (see adaptation table).

Initiating "Adaptation" function 10

- Enter desired adaptation channel (adaptation table.

NOTE: After changing an adaptation value or ending an adaptation channel, "Adaptation" function 10 must be performed again before selecting another adaptation channel.

Adapt tire circumference

Indicated on display:

- Press buttons -0- and -1-. (01 selects "channel 1".)

NOTE: An erroneous entry can be corrected by pressing button -C-.

The selected channel and the currently stored tire circumference (in mm) will be displayed in the top line.

- Input new tire circumference, place a -0- before the 4 digit number (e.g. 01930).

Adapt impulse number/wheel rotation (GALA)

Impulse number 8 is always valid for Audi TT with navigation 4.

The selected channel and the condition of the production diagnostic (function status register) is displayed in the upper line (0 = deactivated, 1 = active).

- Enter new adaptation value (e.g. 00001), where 00000 = product diagnostic deactivated and 00001 = product diagnostic active.

The selected channel and the condition and the type of speaker connection is displayed in the upper line (0 = external radio, 1 = own speaker). If a radio system is installed, front left speakers are used, otherwise a separate speaker (hands-free speaker) is installed.

Adapting dynamic route guidance

The control module is informed about whether dynamic route guidance should be adjusted and via which channels the respective information must be related.

0 = without dynamic route guidance
1 = with dynamic route guidance and RDS radio with TMC
2 = with dynamic route guidance and RDS radio with TMC and telephone
