Note: Lubricate bearing areas and slide surfaces with polycarbamide grease G 052 142 A2.





1 - Torx bolt, 6 Nm

2 - Cover

3 - Shift lever

4 - Insulation

5 - Bearing shell
^ Open side of bearing housing faces shift mechanism housing

6 - Gasket
^ Between shift mechanism housing and underbody
^ Self adhering
^ Adhered to shift mechanism housing

7 - Bracket
^ Secured to body

8 - Bolt, 25 Nm

9 - Hex nut, 25 Nm

10 - Insulation
^ Press on shift mechanism housing

11 - Shift mechanism housing

12 - Bushing
^ Installs only in one position

13 - Pivot pin

14 - Guide bushing
^ Press on shift mechanism housing

15 - Compression spring
^ Installing

16 - Gate selector bracket
^ Remove locking washer

17 - Torx bolt, 6 Nm

18 - Floor plate
^ Bend up tabs to remove
^ Replace

19 - Locking washer

20 - Selector cable

21 - Shift cable
^ Press onto shift lever guide

22 - Hex nut, 25 Nm

23 - Bearing bushing
^ Installs only in one position

24 - Lock washer





Removing lock washer for gate selector bracket
- Lift up clamp in direction of - arrow -.





Install compression spring
- Insert compression spring so that arm - A - contacts lower part of pin - arrow -.
- Pull up arm - B - far enough so that it reaches upper part of pin - arrow -.
