Control arm, removing and installing
There are different versions of the control arm.
The same version must always be installed on both sides.
If there is a different version in the vehicle, both control arms must be replaced as a pair.
Removing
- Remove wheel.
- Remove noise insulation panel.
- If installed, remove headlight range control linkage at left control arm.
- Mark positions of nuts.
- Remove bottom nuts from ball joint.
- Remove hex bolts - 1 - and - 2 - and remove control arm.
Note: Bolt - 1 - is secured from above with a nut.
When installing, note the following points:
- Install control arm into subframe and secure.
- Bolt on ball joint with control arm (align nuts to marked installation positions. New control arm is bolted in the center).
Bolts with bonded rubber bushings must be tightened on its wheels with vehicle standing.
Otherwise, the rubber bushing will be stressed and have its service life shortened.
