Safety precautions, 02E, 6 Speed Direct Shift A/T

Observe the following precautions if test and measuring instruments are required during a test drive:

CAUTION!
^ Test equipment must always be secured on the rear seat and operated from that position by a second person.
^ If test and measuring instruments are operated from the front passengers seat and the vehicle is involved in an accident, there is a possibility that the person sitting in this seat may suffer serious injuries when the airbag is triggered.

Observe the following precautions to avoid possible injury and/or the destruction of electrical and electronic components:
^ Switch off ignition before disconnecting and connecting measuring instruments and testers.

CAUTION!
^ Follow steps required when disconnecting battery.
^ Always switch off the ignition before disconnecting or connecting the battery to ensure the transmission control module is not damaged.
