Trailing arm, removing and installing
Removing
- First remove spring.
- Disengage parking brake cable from brake caliper.
- Pull parking brake cable out of trailing arm.
- Remove drive axle.
- Unclip speed sensor wiring - arrow - from bracket.
- Remove ABS wheel speed sensor from trailing arm housing.
- Remove brake line bracket from trailing arm.
- Unclip brake line from bracket - 1 -.
- Remove securing bolts - 1 - from brake caliper and remove brake caliper.
- Tie brake caliper on body.
- Remove phillips-head screw for brake disc and remove brake disc.
- Remove bolt - 2 - for transverse link.
3 - Upper transverse link
4 - Lower transverse link
5 - Trailing arm
- Position transmission jack under trailing arm.
- Remove shock absorber bolt.
- Mark position of mounting bracket on body.
- Remove mounting bracket from body - arrows -.
- To do this, unscrew brake line connection.
The mounting bracket must be transferred if the trailing arm is to be replaced.
The installation position of the mounting bracket must then be adjusted as described on.

Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse sequence.
The vehicle must be standing on its wheels when tightening the bolt connections with bonded rubber bushings.
Otherwise, the bushing would be subject to torsion and its service life shortened.
After installation the camber and toe settings must be checked using wheel alignment equipment.
Tightening torques:
Shock absorber to trailing arm
Inner joint of drive axle to final drive flange
12-point nut to wheel hub:
Use new 12-point nut.
