Telephone/Navigation System/Auxiliary Heater Antenna

All vehicles with a telephone and/or navigation and/or an auxiliary heater have a telephone/navigation system/auxiliary heater antenna (R66) (roof antenna).

The antenna wires are connected to the cellular telephone amplifier (R86) and/or to the navigation system with CD drive control module (J401) at the left side of the luggage compartment.

The antenna wire to the auxiliary heater radio receiver (R64) is routed along the right D-pillar.

The trim must be removed from the telephone/navigation system/auxiliary heater antenna up to the control module brackets inside the luggage compartment at the rear and on the left and right side when replacing the telephone/navigation system/auxiliary heater antenna.

Removing

- Remove the trim panels on the left and right sides of the luggage compartment.

- Remove the trim on the left and right D-pillars.

- Lower the rear molded headliner.

- Remove nut - 2 - (5 Nm).





- Disconnect the antenna wire connectors from the cellular telephone amplifier/navigation system with CD drive control module/auxiliary heater radio receiver.

- Remove the telephone/navigation system/auxiliary heater antenna - 1 - from the roof.

Installing

- Mount the telephone/navigation system/auxiliary heater antenna - 1 - on the roof and align it with the drive direction.





- Install the antenna wires - 3 - into the slot on the antenna base - arrow - and install the nut - 2 - (5 Nm).

The antenna wire - 3 - must be inside the slit in the nut - 2 -.

- Align the telephone/navigation system/auxiliary heater antenna - 2 - in drive direction again before tightening nut - 3 -.

- Perform further installation in reverse order.
