Vacuum Pump







Vacuum Pump

The vacuum pump is mechanically driven.

Removing

The vacuum pump is installed on the engine on the left side.

- Remove the engine cover.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 - on the mass airflow sensor.






- Disconnect the ventilation hose - 3 -.

- Remove the cover from the air filter housing.

- Disconnect the air guide at the clamp - 2 -.

- Move the air guide to the side.

- Remove the vacuum hose form the vacuum pump.


Be careful not to damaged the vacuum hose. Replace the vacuum hose if damaged.

- Remove the screws on the vacuum pump sealing flange.

- Remove the vacuum pump from the vehicle.

Installing

Replace the seal.

Make sure the seal is correctly installed.

- Position the vacuum pump tappet so it engages in the groove on the camshaft when vacuum pump is installed.

- Insert the vacuum pump.

- Install and tighten all the bolts on the vacuum pump sealing flange to 9 Nm.

- Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum pump.

- Install air guide.

- Secure air guide with the clamp - 2 -.






- Install cover on the air filter housing.

- Install ventilation hose - 3 -.

- Connect the connector - 1 - to the mass airflow sensor.

- Install the engine cover.
