Accessory Assembly Bracket
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Locking Pin (T10060A)
• Spring Type Clip Pliers (VAS 5024 A)
Removing
- Remove the engine cover and air filter.
- Remove cover from above the battery, by pressing the release buttons - arrows -.
Follow the steps for disconnecting the battery. .
- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery ground (GND) cable - arrow -.
- Pull the EVAP canister with connected lines upward - arrow - out of the retainer and lay it aside.
• Before removing the ribbed belt, mark the turning direction on it with chalk or a felt tip pen. A reversed turning direction can cause damage to the belt under operating conditions.
- Pivot the ribbed belt tensioner in direction of - arrow - to relieve tension on the ribbed belt.
- Secure tensioning element using the (T10060A).
- Remove ribbed belt.
- Remove ribbed belt tensioner - arrows -.
- Discharge the refrigerant circuit.
- Remove noise insulation.
- Remove right noise insulation fasteners - 1 to 3 -.
- Remove the A/C compressor.
- Remove the accessory assembly bracket - bolts - 1 to 6 -.
Installing
Installation is in the reverse order of removal, noting the following.
• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Ribbed Belt and Assembly Bracket Overview ] Ribbed Belt and Assembly Bracket Overview
- Tighten the bolts in the sequence - 1 to 6 -.
- Install the generator.
- Install A/C compressor.
- Install the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] Ribbed Belt.
- Connect the battery.
